Levi Roots Animated Advert (Behind The Scenes)
An insight into what went into the making of Levi Roots latest animated advert.
Looks very cool and the way forward for him, since Levi himself is such a quirky and friendly person. I hope more brands begin to realise the power of Animated videos in their campaigns.

The story of Animation
We really like this as it uses animation to tell the story of the Animation process. Not only is this clever, innovative & educational, but its what we do here at Aniboxx.
We get so many enquiries from people who love the look & idea of animation, but are so oblivious to the process that they are shocked at how long it takes (not to mentioned, surprised at the cost).
This video gives an accurate account of the general process and steps along the way.
Quite a few people who enquire seem to believe that animation is a simple, uncomplicated process, and are often disappointed to learn that there are very specific stages in the animation process that require their participation (and finances). It’s almost as if they believe that creating animation is as simple as pitching an idea, and then sitting back while a couple of animators with pencil and paper goof off, tell jokes, and drink copious amounts of coffee until “wallah”! the animation is finished! Furthermore, they seem to think that there will be no difference in cost between an animated film created in flash, 2D, stop motion, cut-out, motion graphics, or fully rendered Pixar-style 3D animation!
We here at Aniboxx have a 4 week production process, which involves a lot of planning and a combination of skills and disciplines.
Feel free to check out some of our work on our portfolio page:

A little something I whipped up in a few hours for a job we are currently working on here at Aniboxx. Did a test shot for the colour and composition to make sure we get the tone correct …
Still have a lot of changes to make, but can’t say too much about the job for obvious reasons, but I know its going to be an exciting piece to finish.
Let us know your thoughts on this piece and perhaps check out some of our finished pieces of animation at : http://www.aniboxx.com/portfolio.php

The animation production workflow is one of great complexity’s. Everything looks like a wonderful film, movie or cartoon at the end, but very few people fail to realise exactly how we make the magic. Well if you are here for the first time or just don’t know about Animation, then consider yourself privileged to be privy to this information.
The core heart of the process all stems from The script. And as you can see, this leads down to other foot soldiers who take the batton and run with it. But its not one linear path, like a relay race, but a group of paths that run parallel due to the fact that they all have to work with one another to get the job done. They are all given the diagram above so they can keep tabs on where they are. Due to the ract that Animation is usually a long winded process, I’ve realised that the communication here is key.
The breaking down of complex information is a vital matter for any project manager, therefore the FLOW of communication between each party is also important. If one person in the chain doesn’t understand this process, it could be detrimental to the final production.
Just a few reasons why breaking down complex information is important.
